World Curling Championship, April 1, 2006
Highland Dance Boston performed during the Open Ceremonies of the World Curling Championship held in the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Mass on April 1, 2006 (no fooling!). Our piper (and source of the gig) was George March; the dancers were Abbie, Lindsay, Carolyn, and Robert. We performed a choreography based upon Barracks Johnny, Blue Bonnets, Strathspey Reel of Four, and Reel of Tulloch, designed for the carpeted, 3 foot-wide strip between the ice lanes!
